Player styles — how each deviates from GTO

✕

Every AI style is defined as a precise deviation from the GTO baseline — the same model your grades come from.

GTO

The unmodified equilibrium. Balanced sizes, mixed strategies, no leaks. Wins by punishing yours.

Calling Station (STN)

Hates folding: most preflop folds become calls, and even raises often become calls — so their raise means monsters. Postflop they call any bet up to ~80% pot with any pair, and peel ~half-pot bets with almost anything. They rarely bluff or raise.

Exploit: value-bet thin and BIG, never bluff, fold to their raises.

Nit (NIT)

Only plays premium hands — borderline opens and many calls become folds, so entering the pot means real strength. Postflop they stop bluffing with anything below strong, over-fold to pressure, and need a great price to continue.

Exploit: steal relentlessly, fold to their aggression, never pay off with bluff-catchers.

LAG (loose-aggressive)

3-bets hands GTO just calls, enters wider, bluffs ~1.8× and raises ~1.5× baseline. The extra aggression funnels into their SMALL sizes — big bets stay honest.

Exploit: call down lighter (especially vs small bets), let them bluff into your strong hands.

Maniac (MAN)

Aggression maxed: raises hands GTO folds, bluffs ~3× baseline, and loves the biggest bet on the menu with air — their overbets mean the LEAST. Raising range ≈ any two that continue.

Exploit: bluff-catch down to one pair, bet small with monsters and let them raise, never bluff.
